Welcome to Aspen Physio! My name is Kim Hillier (Vermeulen) and I am a Physiotherapist based out of the Calgary area in Elbow Valley West, Rocky View County. I completed my Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2012. Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition. While completing my undergraduate degree, I also had the opportunity to complete my Honours research in Sports Psychology, under the supervision of a Sports Psychologist for the National Hockey League.
While growing up, I was fortunate to play multiple sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics, but my true passion was competitive figure skating. Through skating, I learned the importance of quality of movement, but also the foundation of strength and mobility that make this possible. This is the foundation of my physiotherapy practice today. My goal is to teach people to move better, become stronger and more confident in their movement, and to ultimately improve their quality of their life and performance.
Aside from physiotherapy, I now enjoy travelling, hiking, kayaking, skiing, strength training and Olympic lifting.
I look forward to helping you not only return to activity and sport, but also to improve your performance and quality of life.
